John Stirling has been deeply involved in developing the biomass industry in both Canada and the USA since 2006.  John joined Pacific BioEnergy Corporation in September 2018 as President and in June 2019, transitioned to President & CEO.  John is responsible for the Company’s strategy, including developing the Company’s growth, operations initiatives and financing activities, maintaining and forming new business and industrial partnerships and overseeing domestic and international sales activities.

John has held both President & CFO roles at various wood pellet manufacturing plants within Canada and the USA, following an executive level career in the areas of corporate finance, business development, marketing and project management.  John has a MBA Operations & Finance, BS Mechanical Engineering and BA in Economics.

TAKAYASU NAKAMURA, Vice President, Corporate Planning and Administration

Takayasu joined Sumitomo Corporation in 1993 and has primarily been extensively engaged in trading woodchips for pulp, board manufacturing (MDF) and more recently in bioenergy marketing in Japan, China and Europe. Takayasu, over a 10-year period at Sumitomo South America, managed companies dedicated to afforestation, woodchip export and wood pellet production in the Republic of Chile. Takayasu brings extensive knowledge of Pacific Rim woodchip and fibre trading to Pacific BioEnergy. Takayasu holds a B.A from the International Christian University in Tokyo.
